Flower Delivery to Greenslopes Private Hospital — Ward-Safe, Same Day

Most florists drop flowers at the front desk and hope for the best. We don't.

Greenslopes Private Hospital is located at Newdegate Street, Greenslopes QLD 4120. Flowers must be delivered during visiting hours — General Wards are open 11:00am–8:00pm daily. We cut off same-day orders at 2pm so your flowers never spend the night at the reception desk.

We also know that ICU, Coronary Care, and Maternity have rest periods from 1:00pm–3:00pm. We time every delivery to land in the right window.

• Flowers NOT allowed (zero-flower wards): ICU · CCU (Intensive Care & Coronary Care) — strict no-flower zones. We offer a "Ward-Transfer Watch": we hold your order until the patient moves to a general recovery ward, then deliver fresh.
• Oncology — Cyril Gilbert Cancer Centre: Low-pollen, scent-free blooms only — Orchids, Hydrangeas, or Snapdragons. No Lilies or Freesias. We call the ward first to confirm before making your bouquet.
• Mental Health — Florence Syer Unit: Safety protocols apply. We use "Soft-Wrap" bouquets — no glass vases, no wire ties, no sharp plastic picks. All arrangements are ward-compliant before they leave our shop.
• Keith Payne VC Ward (Veterans): Structured, traditional arrangements — Red Roses or Australian Natives. Culturally significant and highly valued by families in this unit.
• Long-Stay Orthopaedic & Rehab (Wards 41–47): Patients are often in for 10+ days. We recommend hardy Australian Natives or Chrysanthemums — they last the full recovery without wilting.
• Maternity — Level 2, John French Wing: Compact designs only — bedside space is shared with medical monitors and bassinets. Weighted helium balloon bundles pair beautifully with our Posy Box arrangements.
• Shared Rooms — Fragrance Warning: GPH has many shared rooms. We avoid Lilies and Freesias in all hospital arrangements — strong scents can overwhelm neighbouring patients.
• What to send instead for no-flower wards: New Life pamper hampers · Balloon bouquets · Succulent gardens · Gift baskets · Chocolate hampers for nursing staff

Two delivery protocols to know — and we use the right one every time:

1. Main Campus — All Ward Deliveries — Lobby Level entrance, Newdegate Street, Greenslopes QLD 4120

• Arrangements logged at central reception, dispatched via hospital volunteer network to the patient's ward.

2. After Hours & Outpatient Deliveries — Emergency Centre entrance (Ground Level), for deliveries after 5pm when the main lobby closes to couriers. 

• Specialty Clinics & Ramsay Specialist Centre: Admin Building entrance, Ground Level suites.

Patient discharged before your flowers arrive? We offer a same-day Discharge Redirection — we'll redeliver to their home in Coorparoo, Stones Corner, Tarragindi, or any nearby suburb at a discounted fee.
